just taking a (photo) walk around the neighborhood

Lunch comes at such an inconvenient time of day. It seems to never care which project it’s interrupting, or what deadline is looming. I get through it as quickly as possible, and consider it a win if I actually leave my desk and converse with Steve. But at least once a week I take a photo walk around the studio’s neighborhood. We’re in great part of midtown Sacramento, with old peeling signs (my favorite kind), favorite sculptures (Saul Bass was here!) and hidden alleyway treasures. It’s always worth the walk and the time. Those projects… they are fine without me, at least for a bit.
